SK32-36 Clay Blacks

Clay bricks are weakly acidic refractory products that can resist the erosion of acidic slag and acidic gas, but have a slightly poorer resistance to alkaline substances. Clay bricks have good thermal properties and are resistant to rapid cooling and heating.

Detailed Description

The mineral composition of clay bricks is mainly kaolinite (Al2O3·2SiO2·2H2O) and 6%~7% impurities (potassium, sodium, calcium, titanium, iron oxides). The firing process of clay bricks is mainly the process of kaolinite decomposing and forming mullite (3Al2O3·2SiO2) crystals through continuous dehydration. During the firing process, SiO2 and Al2O3 in clay bricks form eutectic low-melting silicates with impurities, which surround the mullite crystals.
Clay refractory bricks are mainly divided into clay refractory bricks for blast furnaces, clay refractory bricks for hot blast furnaces, and large clay refractory bricks for glass kilns according to their uses.

Clay refractory bricks for blast furnaces

Clay refractory bricks for blast furnaces are clay bricks made of refractory clay as raw materials and used to build blast furnace linings. Clay refractory bricks for blast furnaces are used for the throat, body, hearth, bottom of small blast furnace linings and the body of large blast furnaces.
Clay refractory bricks for blast furnaces require high refractory strength at room temperature and can resist the long-term operation and wear of the charge; small volume shrinkage under high temperature and long-term operation, which is conducive to maintaining the integrity of the lining; low apparent porosity and Fe:O. Low content, reducing carbon deposition in the pores, avoiding the expansion and loosening of refractory bricks during use and damage; less low-melting-point substances are formed. Clay refractory bricks for blast furnaces have better performance than general clay bricks. [2]

Clay refractory bricks for hot blast furnaces

Clay bricks for hot blast furnaces are made of refractory clay and are used to build blast furnace hot blast furnaces. Clay bricks for hot blast furnaces are used in hot blast furnaces, heat storage chambers and partition walls. Clay bricks for hot blast furnaces are required to have good thermal shock resistance, high load softening temperature and small creep.

China 3) Clay refractory bricks for hot blast furnaces are divided into three grades according to physical and chemical indicators: RN-42, RN-40 and RN-36. The physical and chemical indicators and dimensional tolerances are as follows:
(1) When the layer crack width is not greater than 0.25mm, the length is not limited;
(2) When the layer crack width is 0.26-0. 50mm, the length is not greater than 30mm;
(3) When the layer crack width is greater than 0.50mm, it is unqualified. [3]

Large clay refractory bricks for glass kilns

Large clay refractory bricks for glass kilns are clay refractory bricks with a unit weight of not less than 50kg used for building glass kilns.
